SJ 20130A-2018 "Metal platings adhesion strength detection method" specifies the qualitative detection method of adhesion strength between metal substrates and various metal platings. This standard applies to the adhesion strength inspection of electrodeposited and chemically deposited layers. The summary of the method includes qualitative detection of the adhesion strength of various metal platings to control the platings mass. Select the appropriate adhesion strength test method according to the end use or manufacturing method of the plated parts. Assessing the adhesion strength of specified platings can use a variety of methods specified in this standard, which distinguish the adhesion strength of platings according to different grades. The methods described in this standard apply only to specific types of platings, thickness ranges, ductility or matrix metal compositions, and Table 1 lists the recommended methods for adhesion strength of various platings.
