The MH/T 6119-2018 standard specifies a method for the determination of fertile aerobic microorganisms in bunker oil and aqueous bunker oil using the thixotropic gel foster method. It is suitable for the determination of fertile aerobic microorganisms in aviation kerosene, intermediate distillate fuel, gasoline, blended biofuels, heavy component bunker oil and aqueous bunker oil under field or laboratory conditions. This standard describes in detail the sampling method and processing steps of the sample to ensure the accuracy and repeatability of the determination.
