HJ 798-2016 "Technical requirements and detection methods for total chromium water quality automatic online monitor" is formulated in accordance with the "Law of the People's Republic of China on environment protection" and "Law of the People's Republic of China on water pollution prevention and control". It aims to standardize the technical performance of total chromium water quality automatic online monitor and improve the ability of water environment monitoring. This standard specifies in detail the technical requirements, performance indicators and detection methods of the monitor, which is applicable to the online monitoring of total chromium in domestic sewage and industrial wastewater. The standard is organized and formulated by the Department of Science and Technology Standards of the Ministry of environment protection and drafted by a number of units. It was approved on May 4, 2016 and implemented from August 1, 2016. The Ministry of environment protection is responsible for interpretation.
