This standard applies to the determination of sulfate content in the mass concentration range of 0.01 g/L to 18.00 g/L. During the determination, the sample is reduced to gold by muriatic acid hydroxylamine and other elements to generate barium sulfate precipitation of sulfate and barium chloride. The precipitation is separated, filtrated, washed, and burned to a constant amount. Finally, the sulfate content is expressed by the content of sulfate, and the mass concentration of sulfate is calculated.
