The national standard GB/T 34430.5-2024 Ships and offshore technology, protective coatings and inspection methods, Part 5: Evaluation methods for coating damage, stipulates the evaluation methods for the damage of ship ballast tanks and oil tanks of cargo ships that meet the requirements of IMO PSPC. Including the definition of terms, inspection methods and the evaluation calculation of the area of the damaged area, it aims to standardize the evaluation of coating damage and ensure the protective coating mass of ships.
