ASTM C1138M-19 standard test method describes an underwater method for determining concrete abrasion resistance. This method is suitable for various types of concrete, including cement concrete, mortar concrete, etc. During the test, the concrete surface is immersed in water and then abrasion is carried out through a swirl/spin grinding wheel. The speed and pressure of the grinding wheel can be adjusted to simulate the strain situation of the concrete surface in actual use. The standard specifies the test conditions, the requirements of the grinding wheel, and the steps of the test process. At the same time, it also provides methods for calculating and reporting the results. By using this standard method, reliable abrasion resistance testing data can be obtained to provide reference for the design, production and use of concrete.
