ASTM C779/C779M-12 is a standard test method for testing the abrasion resistance of concrete surfaces. This method uses a device called "Taber Abraser" to simulate the abrasion that may be encountered on concrete surfaces in actual use by swirl/spin on the concrete surface. During the test, the concrete surface is fixed to a bracket and then abrasion is carried out through a swirl/spin Taber Abraser. The speed and pressure of the Taber Abraser can be adjusted to simulate the strain situation on the concrete surface in actual use. The standard specifies the test conditions, the requirements of the Taber Abraser and the steps of the test process. At the same time, it also provides methods for calculating and reporting the results. This standard method is suitable for all types of concrete surfaces, including but not limited to bedrooms, hallways, garages, etc. By using this standard method, reliable abrasion resistance testing data can be obtained to provide reference for the design, production and use of concrete surfaces.
