ASTM D4272/D4272M-23 《Standard Test Method for Total Energy Impact of Plastic Films by Dart Drop》 Related products

ASTM D4272/D4272M-23 is a standard test method used to evaluate the Impact performance of Plastic films. The standard determines the total energy Impact of the film by measuring the kinetic energy lost when the free falling dart passes through the film. In the test, the dart falls from a fixed height and passes through the film clamped in the device. The speed change of the dart is measured by the photoelectric speed trap, so as to calculate the energy required for the film to break. This method is suitable for Plastic films with film thickness not exceeding 0.25 mm. It is widely used in Encasement, Construction and other fields to predict the anti-Impact performance of the material in actual use. Test results are highly dependent on the production process of the film, the type of material, and the Film thickness, so they are only suitable for samples with Film thickness deviations of no more than +/- 15%.
