The ISO 9022-11 standard specifies a test method for resistance to mould growth of opticalin strument and photonics instruments and their components. The method is designed to assess the effect of mould growth on opticalin strument's Optical inspection, chemical, mechanical and electrical performance in high temperature and high humidity environments. The test investigates the degree of corrosion of mould metabolites (such as enzymes or acids) to the instrument or the risk of short circuit of the circuit board by simulating the environmental conditions of mould growth. The standard applies to material selection and performance evaluation of opticalin strument and related components, but not to routine production control. The test results can help manufacturers optimize materials and designs to improve the durability of opticalin strument in harsh environments.
