The ISO 5631-3:2022 standard specifies a method for measuring paper and Cardboard Color by diffuse reflection with the elimination of specular gloss under indoor Illumination conditions (D50/2 °). This method is mainly used in the graphic arts industry and is suitable for paper and Cardboard containing fluorescent whitening agents, but not for colored paper containing fluorescent dyestuffs or pigments. The standard provides an accurate measurement means for Color evaluation of paper and Cardboard by adjusting the UV content of the illumination, ensuring that the measurement results are consistent with ISO 13655.
