The ISO 8791-2:2013 standard specifies a method for determining the asperity/smoothness of paper and Cardboard using the Bendtsen method. This method evaluates the asperity of paper by measuring the amount of air leakage through the surface of the paper. It is suitable for paper and Cardboard with Bendtsen asperity values between 5 ml/min and 3000 ml/min. The Bendtsen method is easy to operate and has good results.
