The ISO 11475:2017 standard specifies a method for the determination of CIE whiteness for paper and Cardboard, using D65/10 ° (outdoor daylight) as the Illumination condition. This method is suitable for white paper and Cardboard with or without fluorescent whitening agents, and the whiteness value is calculated by measuring the reflectance of the sample in the visible Light spectrum. The measurement results are consistent with the visual appearance of paper observed under the CIE D65 Daylight Standard light source. This standard provides a uniform test procedure for the assessment of whiteness of paper and Cardboard, which is widely used in the fields of quality control, product development and international trade.
