The ISO 11093-5:2016 standard specifies a method for determining the concentric swirl/spin characteristics of cylindrical Cardboard core tubes. This method is suitable for Cardboard core tubes with a wall thickness of not less than 5 mm, an outer diameter of not less than 60 mm, and a length of not more than 3200 mm. The standard evaluates the stiffness, strength and other characteristics of Cardboard core tubes through concentric swirl/spin testing. It is suitable for core tubes made of paper and Cardboard and core tubes made of Miscellaneous materials. This test method is helpful for quality control in the production process of paper and Cardboard, ensuring the Reliability and Stability of the core tubes in applications such as Encasement, Transportation, etc.
