The ISO 5633:1983 standard specifies a method for determining the water permeability of paper and Cardboard. It is suitable for paper and Cardboard treated by internal sizing, surface sizing, coating or lamination with waterproof laminates, but not for corrugated fiberboard. This method evaluates the water resistance of the sample by immersing it in water and observing whether it absorbs water or swells or breaks. The test results can be used to evaluate the suitability of the paper in the fields of Encasement, Food Encasement, Construction Paper, etc.
