The ISO 16532-2:2007 standard specifies a method for the determination of the grease resistance of paper and Cardboard. The grease resistance of paper is mainly assessed by surface repulsion testing. This method is suitable for paper and Cardboard with organic oleophobic materials (such as fluorocarbons) applied inside or on the surface, and aims to determine their approximate grease resistance level. The test results can be used to evaluate the surface repulsion performance of Encasement paper and Cardboard when in contact with grease, to ensure that their performance in applications such as food Encasement meets the requirements. This standard does not deal with the permeability test of grease. For related tests, please refer to ISO 16532-1.
