The ISO 17812 standard specifies a method for the determination of total mg, total calcium, total manganese, total iron and total copper content in paper, Cardboard and pulp. The method is applicable to all types of paper, Cardboard and pulp. During the determination, the atomic absorption spectroscopy (AAS) method or plasma emission light spectrum method is used for the measurement of the total content of the above elements in the sample, including its acid-soluble part and acid-insoluble part. The standard helps to evaluate the mass and performance of paper products and is widely used in quality control and Product Research & Development in the paper industry.
