The TAPPI T 452 standard specifies a method for measuring pulp, paper and Cardboard luminance, assessed using a directional reflectance at a wavelength of 457 nanometers. Optical inspection properties of paper are important indicators of their ability to reflect blue light. The standard requires the use of specific geometric configurations, i.e. 45 ° illumination and 0 ° viewing angles, to ensure accuracy and conformity of measurement results.
