The TAPPI T 456 standard specifies a method for determining the tensile breaking strength (i.e. "wet tensile strength") of water-saturated paper and Cardboard. This test is used to evaluate the tensile performance of paper in wet conditions and is suitable for paper products that need to be used or treated in wet environments. Wet tensile strength is one of the key material properties of paper in wet conditions.
