TAPPI T 826 Standard TAPPI T 826 specifies a method for measuring the short-range compressire strength of cardboard in a box. It is suitable for cardboards with a width-to-thickness ratio of less than or equal to 5, and usually corresponds to cardboards with a gram weight of at least 100 grams per square meter. This method provides an important basis for quality control and performance prediction of Encasement materials such as corrugated boxes by quickly evaluating the compressive performance of cardboard through short-span compression testing (SCT). The test results can be used to optimize production processes, evaluate Cardboard strength, and predict Encasement performance. It is a standard test method widely used in the paper and Encasement industries.
