This standard specifies a test method for the determination of pigment residue sieve by mechanical flushing, for dispersed pigments or extenders in water, and for insoluble Miscellaneous powders or granules in water. The test is centrifuged by swirl/spin water flow belt action, the fine grains are flushed and sieved, the coarse grains are left on the screen, and weighed after drying. This method is not suitable for pigments that are difficult to wetting or granulate into balls.
