The practice applies to art materials Encasement used by all ages and requires labels to contain information such as signal words, a list of potential chronic hazards, instructions for safe handling, etc. The standard does not include testing methods to determine whether a substance presents a chronic health hazard, nor does it apply to products for which labelling regulations already exist. The responsibility for the development of labels rests with the manufacturer or re-Encasement to ensure the safety and transparency of the material in use.
