This standard provides a method for assessing the risk of inhalation of aerosol products, determining the inhalation potential of a product by measurement of spray pattern and aerosol deposition rate. This test method is used to assess whether aerosol products require special labelling and Child Protective Encasement to reduce the risk of inhalation. Applicable to the testing of pressurized aerosol products and provides a basis for the safety assessment of aerosol products.
