This standard provides a method for the measurement of the Color of transparent liquids on the Platinum-Cobalt scale, which is mainly used to evaluate the yellowness of liquids. Yellowness usually results from contamination generated during processing or storage. This method is suitable for the measurement of transparent liquid samples with nominal Pt-Co Color values between 0 and 100, ensuring that the light absorption characteristics of the liquid match the Pt-Co standard. The test method is only suitable for non-haze, non-fluorescent liquids. Color evaluation is performed by visual inspection to ensure that the Color of the liquid meets the requirements of the standard.
