This standard specifies the technical requirements for coating asphalt on the outer surface of ductile cast iron pipes, covering the coating film thickness, adhesion, corrosion resistance and construction technology. It aims to improve the anti-corrosion performance of ductile cast iron pipes and prolong the service life. Proposed by the National Machinery Industry Bureau, the National Metal and Non-metallic Coating Standardization Technical Committee is centralized, and Wuhan Institute of Material Protection and Xuzhou Everbright Xinxing Cast Pipe Co., Ltd. are responsible for drafting to ensure the scientificity and practicability of the standard.
