This standard provides a method for bridge impact testing to evaluate the resistance of a long Encasement material to impact near the center with only supporting the ends. This type of Impact damage is commonly seen during the transport and conveyor line classification process for mixed-size Encasements. The testing method includes two options: Option A uses a free-fall fall tester, and Option B uses a Simulated Mechanical Impact Test Equipment (SMITE). Both methods are designed to apply the same amount of kinetic energy to simulate the Impact situation in the actual transport environment. The standard is designed to help evaluate how the Encasement responds to Impact during transport, ensuring the durability and protection of the Encasement.
