The ASTM D5094/D5094M-2014 standard test method is used to evaluate liquid leakage in the dispensing environment of containers with threaded or lug closures. This method inspects the integrity of containers by measuring their leakage during vertical, inverted, or side storage or transportation. The standard includes two test methods: Method A is used for vibration and storage testing of shipping containers to evaluate their sealing performance under transportation vibration and high temperature storage; Method B is used for vibration and vacuum testing of individual containers, usually for a short time. These tests are suitable for Encasement development, engineering, and tool evaluation.
