The function of Encasement should be assessed in accordance with the Child Protection Encasement Act 1970 and its newer versions. The standard also specifies how additions or deletions of examples should be reported, and requires that no ASTM logo or certification mark be used when using Encasement. This standard has been developed in accordance with internationally recognized principles of standardization.
