The ASTM F3375-19 standard is used to evaluate the performance of non-Measurement restricted delivery systems for liquid consumer products in order to reduce the risk of poisoning in children. This test method evaluates the effect of a restricted delivery system for liquid consumer products after the primary lid is removed by simulating the way that young children may use it. The standard covers three mechanical test procedures, and the tests are performed under conditions close to the actual use of the product. The test parameters are based on existing literature and experience and are used to compare the performance of different restricted delivery systems. This method is suitable for liquids with Encasement in resealable containers and is designed to ensure that the restricted delivery system effectively controls the amount of liquid released.
