The ASTM D5112-22 standard test method is used to evaluate the vibration Response of a product under horizontal linear motion to determine its Resonance Frequency. This test helps Encasement designers understand the dynamic stress of the product in the shipping environment and optimize the Encasement system to provide adequate protection. The standard includes two test methods: sinusoidal vibration resonance search and random vibration resonance search.
