JJG (Light Industry) 73-2000 "Capillary Viscometer (Trial) verification procedure for pulp" is mainly used for the first verification of Capillary Viscometers. The procedure applies to the measurement of the viscosity of soluble cellulose in pulp to evaluate its molecular weight and degree of degradation. The procedure specifies the calibrate and determination method of Capillary Viscometers, requiring the use of thermostatic water baths, stopwatches and thermometers. The inner diameter of the calibrate Viscometer is 0.57mm, and the inner diameter of the determination is 0.80mm. The verification step involves calibrating the Viscometer using distillation water and copper ethylene diamine solution, and measuring the outflow time of 65% glycerol aqueous solution. Qualified equipment should be labeled with Viscometer Constant to ensure Accuracy.
