GB/T 1723-1993 "Coating Viscosity Determination Method" specifies the standard method for determining the viscosity of coatings by coating-1, coating-4 Viscometer and falling ball viscometer. Coatings with an outflow time of not less than 20 seconds are used with coating-1 Viscometer, coating-4 Viscometer is suitable for coatings with an outflow time of not less than 150 seconds, while falling ball viscometer is suitable for clear coating materials with higher viscosity. The standard describes in detail the operation steps, instrumentation and its correction methods to ensure the accuracy and conformity of viscosity measurement.
