The Standard Practice provides methods for determining the activated Light spectrum of a material by either a long-pass filter or Light spectrum technology to evaluate the actinic effects of different Light spectrum bands on the material. These techniques are used to determine the material's Response to the various Light spectrum regions of the Light source, thus helping to understand and predict the aging behavior of the material under light. The Standard describes two main techniques: Light spectrum technology for high-resolution Light spectrum band analysis and filter technology for simulating the effects of multicolor radiation. These methods allow for the selection of suitable UV absorbers and improved Stability testing of the material, although it does not cover all relevant safety issues.
