Specifies the corrosion performance testing of opticalin struments and their components in a salt fog environment. The standard specifies the conditions, procedures and environment marking for salt spray testing to evaluate the resistance of instrument surfaces and protective coatings to salt fog. The 2010 version of the original standard was updated and aligned with ISO 9022-4:2002, simplifying test procedures and adding environment marking requirements.
