GJB 150.11a-2009 "Methods for environmental testing in military equipment laboratories, Part 11: salt spray test" specifies the purpose, application and method of salt spray test. The test is designed to evaluate the effectiveness of equipment and its material protective layer, and to determine the effect of salt deposits on equipment performance. It is suitable for evaluating equipment that is primarily exposed to high salt environments, but not for simulating marine atmospheric environments or Miscellaneous corrosion environments such as heat and humidity corrosion. This standard was implemented in 2009 and replaced the GJB 150.11-1986.
