The GM 4465P standard specifies the water standard used to test coating samples in salt spray testing. During the test, the samples are exposed to continuous indirect spray water mist in an airtight chamber compliant with ASTM B117. Environmental temperature is set at + 38 ° C and relative humidity is 100%. The spray rate of water mist is 1.0 to 2.0ml/80cm ²/hour, and the test time can be adjusted according to demand.
