The IEC 60068-2-5 standard is used to simulate the behavior of components and equipment exposed to solar radiation environment on the earth's surface. Its purpose is to evaluate thermal effects, degradation effects and photochemical effects to ensure the Reliability of equipment under long-term exposure to solar radiation conditions. The standard consists of three test procedures: Procedure A for thermal effect assessment, Procedure B for degradation effect assessment and Procedure C for photochemical effect assessment. The test simulates the solar radiation environment by controlling the energy intensity of the solar spectral power distribution and absorption to help evaluate the durability of components and equipment.
