The ISO 11997-2:2013 standard specifies a test method for evaluating the corrosion resistance of coatings and varnishes under wet (salt fog)/drying/Humidity/UV conditions. This method simulates the corrosion process in the actual use environment and evaluates the durability of coatings by alternating exposure to salt fog, drying, Humidity and UV conditions. The standard aims to provide a more realistic evaluation of coating performance than traditional static corrosion testing and is suitable for comparing the corrosion resistance of different coating systems. The test can be used for air drying industrial maintenance coatings on steel and the test cycle can be adjusted as needed.
