ISO 4892-2-2013 is an international standard for plastics exposed to Xenon-arc lamp light sources in laboratories. This standard is designed to simulate the aging effects of materials exposed to sunlight or infiltrated daylight through window glass in an actual use environment, including temperature, Humidity and wetting effects. Specimen preparation and outcome evaluation are subject to this standard to ensure conformity and comparability. ISO 4892-2 applies to a wide range of plastic materials, and the specific material standards involved are described in detail in the Miscellaneous international standard. The standard was developed by ISO/TC 61 Plastics Technical Committee SC 6 (Anti-aging, chemical resistance and environment resistance) and has been revised and updated several times to ensure its applicability and Reliability worldwide.
