The ISO 1 2625-6: 2016 standard specifies methods for determining the gram weight of tissue paper and tissue paper products. Gram weight, i.e. mass per unit area, expressed in grams per square meter (g/m ²), is an important indicator of paper quality control. The standard provides a reliable test procedure that ensures the accuracy and conformity of measurement results. The second edition makes technical revisions to the 2005 first edition, including new provisions and updated accuracy data. The standard, prepared by ISO in collaboration with the technical committees of CEN and in compliance with the editorial rules of ISO/IEC Directive Part 2, provides a standardized method for determining gram weight for the paper industry.
