This standard specifies an accelerated test method for determining the intergranular corrosion sensitivity of austenitic stainless steel. It is applicable to a variety of metal forms, including double-decked rolled metals, welded joints, deposited metals, and weld metals. The standard provides two accelerated test methods: Method A uses copper sulfate and concentrated sulfuric acid solution, and Method B is performed in copper sulfate, sulfuric acid, and copper fluoride solution. Compared with ISO 3651-1 and ISO 3651-2 methods, the accelerated test period of this standard is shorter, making evaluation results more efficient. The test methods in the standard are consistent with traditional test results and provide a reliable basis for material selection and corrosion performance evaluation.
