The GB/T 41935-2022 standard specifies artificial climate aging test methods for plastics to be used in heavily polluted outdoor environments. The standard describes two methods of exposure: Method A uses short-term strong acid solution spraying (pH 1.5), which is mainly used to evaluate the damage form of surface degradation; Method B uses longer-term weaker acid solution spraying (pH 3.5), which is suitable for situations where acid solutions can penetrate deeply, such as geotextiles, etc. The standard does not apply to the effects of special chemicals (such as pesticides), nor does it involve the prediction of the service life of plastics. Through these methods, the durability of plastics in polluted environments can be evaluated, providing guidance for the design and application of related products.
