GB/T 9758.1-1988 is a Chinese national standard for the determination of "soluble" lead content in Paints and varnishes. The standard specifies two determination methods: flame atomic absorption spectroscopy (AAS) and dithiohydrazone Spectrophotometric method, spectrophotometry, for Paints with lead content in the range of 0.05% to 5% (mass ratio). During the determination process, flame atomic absorption spectroscopy (AAS) is designated as the arbitration method to ensure the accuracy and reliability of the results. The implementation of this standard aims to improve the safety of Coating products and prevent the impact of harmful metals such as lead on the environment and human health.
