GB/T 18838.2-2017 specifies the technical requirements for cold hard cast iron sand for spray cleaning of steel surfaces before coating, covering 12 grades of Hardness, density, defect, metallographic structure and chemical composition. The standard applies to unused cold hard cast iron sand and does not apply to recycled or used abrasive. It provides a clear abrasive mass standard for steel surface preparation, ensuring that the surface mass after spray cleaning meets the coating adhesion requirements, and applies to the surface of materials treated by Miscellaneous jet cleaning technology.
