This standard specifies the determination method of the total content of harmful elements in coatings, including lead, cadmium, mercury, chromium, arsenic and other elements. After dry ashing, wet acid digestion or microwave digestion by drying the film, after removing the organic matter, use suitable analytical instruments (such as AtomicAbsorption Spectroscopy, ICP-OES or ICP-MS) to determine the content of the elements to be tested in the test solution.
