"GB/T 9278-2008 Temperature and Humidity of Coating Specimens for Condition Regulation and Testing" specifies the general temperature and relative humidity conditions for Paints, varnishes and their raw materials in condition regulation and testing. The standard applies to Paints and varnishes in liquid or powdered form, as well as their wet-film or Dry-Film and their raw materials. The purpose is to ensure that the condition of Coating samples is consistent before and after testing, thereby improving the accuracy and repeatability of test results. The standard was proposed by the China Petroleum and Chemical Industry Federation and centralized by the National Coating and pigment Standardization Technical Committee, equivalent to ISO 3270:1984. It was released on May 14, 2008 and officially implemented on October 1, 2008.
