"GB/T 18838.3-2008 Technical requirements for metal abrasives for jet cleaning of steel surface preparation before coating Coating, Part 3: High carbon cast steel shot and sand" specifies the technical requirements for high carbon cast steel shot and sand for jet cleaning. The standard relates to the grades of 14 high carbon cast steel shot and 12 high carbon cast steel sand, including Hardness, density, defect and structural requirements and chemical composition, etc. These abrasives are suitable for unused new abrasives and can be used in fixed or on-site injection equipment, with recyclability and repeability. The standard is centralized by the China Shipbuilding Industry group company, issued on April 1, 2008, and implemented on September 1, 2008.
