This standard specifies test methods for non-metallic abrasives for spray cleaning of steel surfaces prepared before coating, including determination of particle size distribution, apparent density (pb), Hardness, water content, water leach conductivity and water-soluble chlorides content. The standard is applicable to ensure that the mass of non-metallic abrasives during spray cleaning meets the requirements to ensure coating adhesion and durability.
