This standard specifies a method for the determination of the content of dichloromethane extract in pulp, which is applicable to all kinds of pulp (excluding waste paper pulp). The standard extracts pulp samples by using dichloromethane in a Soxhlet extractor. After 24 cycles of extraction, the solvent is evaporated and the residue is dried at 105 +/- 2 ° C before weighing. The results show the ratio of the mass of dichloromethane extract to the absolute dry mass of the sample. The detection limit of this method is 0.05%, which ensures the accurate determination of the content of dichloromethane extract in pulp.
