GB/T 10338-2008 "Determination of carboxyl group content in pulp" stipulates the analytical method for the determination of carboxyl group content in pulp by calcium ion exchange and EDTA volumetric method. This standard is suitable for the determination of carboxyl group content in bleached pulp and unbleached pulp. The content is quantified by measuring the cation exchange capacity of carboxyl groups in pulp, which provides a scientific basis for pulp quality control, especially for the chemical performance evaluation of paper.
