The ISO 15710-2002 standard describes a test method for evaluating the corrosion performance of coatings after alternating immersion in dilute salt solutions and removal from salt solutions. This method simulates the condition of alternating wet drying cycles of coatings in a real environment. The test is mainly used for aerospace coatings to evaluate their corrosion resistance in harsh environment conditions and to provide relevant ratings for different coatings to help compare the protective effect of coatings.
